Kurt A. Olson joined the firm in November 2024. Olson is an experienced attorney and practices in the firm’s Estate Planning & Probate practice. Although an experienced planner and counsel to personal representatives and beneficiaries, Olson also has extensive experience in resolving probate, trust, and capacity disputes through negotiation and litigation when necessary. Olson has handled a number of contentious probate and trust disputes including trial work for one of the heirs in a high profile probate matter receiving international attention. He has served on the Probate Council for the Senate Bar of Michigan for 6 years and has authored briefs for submission to their behalf, as well as articles for the Probate Section of the State Bar which have been published in their quarterly journal. He is also regularly appointed and retained to act as guardian at litem and attorney for petitioners and allegedly incapacitated persons in guardianship and conservatorship matters. Additionally, he advises privately held business and non-profits and helps resolve their disputes when they arise.
